On Thursday 11/17 the full House of Representatives passed the Lymphedema Treatment Act! Click here to see if your Representative was among the 402 yes votes, the 13 no votes, or the 17 non-voting members.

Please join us in letting our House lead sponsor and co-lead sponsor know how much we appreciate their leadership on the LTA! Congressional offices can only accept incoming email from constituents, so please send a thank you card or note via US mail to their district offices:

Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky
5533 Broadway Street
Chicago, IL 60640

Congressman Buddy Carter
6602 Abercorn Street, Suite 105B
Savannah, GA 31405

And if you haven’t yet, take a moment to let your own Representative know how glad you are that the LTA has passed the House (even if he or she was among the very few to not vote for the bill) and urge your Senators to follow suit and act swiftly to pass the LTA! Click here to send your email to all three offices in one easy step

Starting next week, we will be shifting our focus solely to the Senate. If we do not get the bill passed in the Senate by the end of the year, we will have to begin the process again in the new Congress next January. We are SO CLOSE – we can’t let that happen!

Enjoy the weekend and stay tuned for new Senate actions early next week!
