The Lymphedema Advocacy Group honors current and former members of Congress for their work to pass the Lymphedema Treatment Act. It was first introduced in 2010. The new insurance coverage will go into effect on January 1, 2024. Lymphedema is chronic swelling (edema) caused by a build up of fluid (lymph) that occurs when the lymphatic system is either faulty or damaged. There is no cure, but it can be effectively treated
