Hi. I am a 33-year-old man who worked 90 hours a week as a diesel mechanic until a traumatic injury changed my life on Dec 23 2011. I was working under a semi when someone started it in gear unexpectedly and it drove over me crushing my legs. After several operations my leg swelled and busted 2 different times. Then I was diagnosed with lymphedema. Not knowing what this was, I came home and researched it, only to be scared to death of this new journey.

My treatments lasted 6 months, 3 days a week traveling to the closest place which was 2 hrs away. There Ms Mary at Candler treated me until she had me in garments. I have the fastest refill they have ever seen and must be in garments 24/7 the rest of my life. My garments and Flexi-Touch device cost $8000.00 and must be replaced 2 times a year. I have 4 little girls and this has devastated my family.

Please pass this legislation so people like me can get help. There’s no way I can afford this forever and the condition is life threatening if the patient is not compliant. It’s been 223 days and I’m still badly swollen. However, I am a living miracle to still be here to help fight this to get it approved ! Thank you ! God bless !
