If you are a Kentucky resident, this is a unique opportunity to help improve Kentucky Medicaid (not Medicare) coverage for lymphedema compression treatment items!
The Kentucky Medicaid Advisory Committee (MAC) will meet June 4, 2026, from 10:00–12:00 p.m. Eastern Time via Zoom and at the Department for Public Health Conference Suite, 275 E. Main Street, Frankfort, KY 40601.
The meeting will have an opportunity for public comment for fifteen minutes at the end of the meeting agenda, with each person given up to three minutes to provide their comments!
To sign up for public comment, please complete the Public Comment Sign Up Form. For more information about the meeting, the public comment opportunity, and the Zoom link to watch the meeting without signing up to speak, click HERE.
You do not need to be an expert or have any experience with public speaking. Just share from your own experience (as a patient, clinician, supplier, etc.) to explain why comprehensive coverage for lymphedema compression supplies is important, and ask that Kentucky align its Medicaid coverage with that of Medicare’s.
For inspiration, watch this 2-minute video of Ellen, a wonderful advocate in Florida who mustered up the courage to speak to her Congressman about the Lymphedema Treatment Act during a Town Hall meeting, which led to him joining as a cosponsor almost immediately!
We will not be providing a script, because it’s important that it be your unique voice, but if you sign up to speak and need help preparing, feel free to reply to this message with questions. Thank you for your advocacy — your voice matters!
