Special Announcement: one of our lymphedema advocates was just selected to serve a three-year term on the Alabama Medicaid Beneficiary Advisory Council!

If you are a current or former Medicaid beneficiary, caregiver of a Medicaid beneficiary, or a healthcare provider, please read on to learn about this opportunity to help improve coverage for lymphedema treatment and compression supplies.

Every state’s Medicaid program has a Beneficiary Advisory Committee (BAC) and/or a Medical Advisory Committee (MAC). Sometimes they go by different names, but all states are required to maintain these types of advisory committees.

If you are a current or former Medicaid beneficiary, caregiver of a Medicaid beneficiary, or if you are a healthcare provider, and would like to apply for your state’s BAC or MAC, please contact us by replying to this email. Be sure to indicate your state, as well as whether you are a patient, caregiver, or healthcare provider.

We will provide you with the information on how to apply. Keep in mind that every state manages their advisory committees differently. Some accept applications on a rolling basis and others only do so periodically.

Also, as a reminder, the survey below is still accepting responses, if you have not yet participated and would like to. It takes about 25 minutes to complete, and all information will remain confidential. Click here or on the flyer below to access the survey.

Thank you for your consideration of these advocacy opportunities!
