We’ve spent the last couple of months gathering information about the current state of fee-for-service Medicaid coverage for compression garments. The short answer is, it varies greatly – some states have fully adopted the new Medicare coverage, others not at all, and everywhere in between!

Please view our new Medicaid Spreadsheet for details. This information is specific to each state’s fee-for-service plan and is accurate to the best of our ability. Note that all states also have multiple managed care Medicaid plans, and patients should always contact their own plan to confirm what coverage is available to them.

This state-by-state outreach is part of our continuing commitment to improving access to care for all Americans with lymphedema, regardless of where you live or what insurance plan you have. If you are a Medicaid beneficiary and are not receiving coverage for any aspect of your lymphedema treatment (garments, a pump, therapy, etc.) please share your story with us!

In support of our work, please consider donating to our 15th Anniversary Fundraising Campaign if you haven’t already. No amount is too small to make a difference!

Every dollar you contribute fuels our mission to close coverage gaps, advocate for fair policies, and empower patients. If you prefer to donate by check, you can do so by mailing your gift to: Lymphedema Advocacy Group, PO Box 1682, Carrboro, NC 27510.

Thank you for your advocacy and support!
